T2M Resourcing are working exclusively with a manufacturing and technology business; they are seeking a new IT Support Engineer to join their in-house IT team.
This is a broad IT support and systems administration role to provide support across engineering, design, production, and office support departments.
Key duties of an IT Support Engineer:
* Troubleshooting IT issues in the manufacturing and engineering departments.
* Respond to support tickets logged by support and engineering departments.
* Plan and manage proactive software, network, and security updates.
* Assist in implementations of new software systems such as ERP and MRP.
* Set up user profiles and devices for new users during onboarding.
* Ensure that data is backed-up and secure.
Requirements to be successful as an IT Support Engineer:
* Experience in a similar IT support/administration role.
* Qualifications in computer science, Business Information Technology or similar.
* Certifications such as CompTIA, CISCO, or similar.
* Knowledge of Windows Operating Systems and Microsoft products.
* Network security experience such as Firewalls, anti-virus administration, and physical access control.
* Strong skills in Windows Servers, Virtualisation/Hyper-V, and Networking.
* Understanding of systems administration tools such as Active Directory, Intune, and Azure.
* Able to problem solve across varied IT and software systems.
* IT Hardware and component awareness, Graphics Cards, RAM, and cabling.
This IT Support Engineer position is based in Milton Keynes and will include travel to multiple sites; a UK driving license is essential.
