The role is for a general TA with excellent previous upper KS2 experience. You will have classroom management experience, behaviour experience and the ability to build rapport and productive relationships in class. You should be the type of individual who can demonstrate commitment, reliability, high attendance, and an ability to be flexible and adaptable to the child's needs, likes, and interests. Experience in tailoring content to meet individual needs and incorporating their preferences to enthuse and motivate them to participate will be highly beneficial.
Our client is a 3 form entry primary located in FY4 Blackpool. This is an inclusive primary with a nursery provision attached and nest for SEND Pupils. This school strives to be a part of the community offering a new mums coffee club and support in early childhood along with supporting local food banks. This school endeavours to support accessibility to resources for all and has learnt to develop in modern ways which is reflected in their school building with the incorporation of new facilities and classrooms which complement the bones of the school. The facilities are modern, bright and include an outdoor playground, artificial grass and calm area to promote tranquillity. The nest unit is based within the school and incorporates the children into the main site as much as possible, they are hoping to achieve full integration by the close of this academic year.
The hours are 8:30-3:30, pay £13-£13.50. - Term time role

Responsibilities as a Teaching Assistant involve:
12. Reading, writing and SPAG support.
13. Adjusting or breaking down activities to support participation and understanding. Develop a supportive relationship with the child that promotes self esteem and confidence.
14. To develop knowledge and understanding of the specific academic, physical, emotional and behavioural needs of the child and respond to them effectively.
15. To liaise with the Teacher and SENCO about the development and support needed at home and in school for the child.
16. To provide the whole class, small groups and 1:1 support.
17. Monitor and maintain records of the pupils progress.
18. To assist with general school duties which may include setting up classrooms, preparing resources and displays and tidying and clearing away
19. Supervision of children during lunch times and Supervision of children entering and leaving school premises.
Requirements:
20. Possession of an Enhanced child DBS on the update service or willingness to acquire a new one.
21. Eligibility to work in the UK (please note that sponsorship is unavailable for this role).
22. Preferred previous experience in educational settings, particularly schools.
23. Provision of two recent professional references, a vital requirement for consideration.
24. Experience working with young people
25. Class management skills
26. Comfortable managing challenging behaviour
27. Able to engage with and motivate children
