It's an exciting time to join the Merchandising Team at Clarks. As an Assistant Merchandiser, Kids you will be utilising your analytical mindset to ensure the merchandising process is fully supported. If you've got a fast-paced and ambitious career in mind, merchandising takes some beating.
This is a hybrid role with 4 days working at our HQ office in Street.
What You'll Be Doing
It's a big job, but an incredibly exciting, varied, and challenging one. You will support the Merchandiser in analysing and evaluating commercial data including sales and margin, identifying trends, and ensuring the right shoes appear in the right places at the right times. Working closely with the Merchandising and Sales Teams, you will have the opportunity to build a variety of relationships across the region and wider business.
We'll give you that all-important introduction to merchandising, plus a solid grounding in our business. From there, you'll have every chance to develop your skills and your career, helping you to work through the ranks from Assistant Merchandiser to Merchandiser to, one day, Senior Merchandiser.
What You'll Bring to the Team
So, what do you need to bring? You'll need to be adaptable, approachable, and quick to pick things up and understand how we work. With a keen eye for detail, it's important that you have a head for figures so you can identify numeric trends and have advanced MS Excel skills. You'll also demonstrate good analytical skills, a flair for commercial acumen, and an unwavering customer focus. Previous assistant merchandising experience would be desirable. You will be comfortable working independently and across various functions in the business. Working for a global business, you'll want to build relationships across various markets and levels of stakeholders. Like everyone here at Clarks, you're dedicated and driven, committed to being the best you can be.
About Clarks
Clarks, based in Somerset, England, has been at the forefront of innovative shoemaking since its foundation in 1825, when brothers James and Cyrus Clark made a slipper from sheepskin off-cuts. At the time it was ground-breaking: a combination of invention and craftsmanship that has remained at the heart of what the brand does now. In the Clarks archive of more than 22,000 pairs are shoes that have sparked revolutions and defined generations. From the original Clarks Desert Boot, first designed by Nathan Clark and launched in 1950, to the iconic Wallabee, each design has an instantly recognizable signature that makes it unmistakably Clarks.
