About the role - Senior HR Officer
Our client is looking for a Senior HR Officer to join their team of HR generalists.
You will be responsible for providing a comprehensive, flexible and efficient HR service to their business on site (and other sites).
You will be predominately supporting recruitment and selection, learning and development, compensation and benefits, employee wellbeing for all of their employees.
Responsibilities
Support talent management initiatives by implementing various processes to identify and develop high-potential employees.
Provide day-to-day performance management guidance and support to line managers.
Assist managers and team leaders with their leadership development through coaching and feedback.
Drive employee engagement initiatives and work with the business to implement action plans to improve work relationships.
Support the selection process and oversee the onboarding of new hires as a point of escalation for HR Officers.
Design and deliver training sessions and workshops across all functions and levels.
Manage internal communications to ensure effective dissemination of information.
Support the compensation management process, including salary review, payroll, and personnel cost forecasting.
Assist in managing UK benefits and participate in the governance process.
Take ownership of HR metrics and analyse data to identify areas for improvement.
Support employee relations, absence management, and handle complex cases as necessary.
Actively identify gaps and propose and implement changes to mitigate risks.
Deputise for HR Director or HR Manager when required.
Contribute to ad hoc projects as needed.
What we need from you
Degree or relevant qualification in HR or a related subject
CIPD Level 5 in Human Resource Management or equivalent
Previous experience in Recruitment and Selection
Previous experience in a HR role managing the entire remit of HR activities including D&G
Strong knowledge of employment law
Excellent communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships across all levels of the organisation
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
What we would like from you
CIPD qualified to PGDip Level 7 in Human Resource Management or equivalent
Experience working with HR information systems like Cascade, SAP, or similar
Previous experience in a global matrix organisation
Experience leading projects and implementing talent management strategies
Proficient in using HR metrics to drive data-based decision-making
Familiarity with designing benefits
