We are seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join our team in Lowestoft, Suffolk on a full-time permanent basis or part-time for up to 30 hours, providing essential support to the Financial Controller.

About The Role
As an Accounts Assistant, you will manage and monitor our Purchase Ledger processes while supporting the Financial Controller. Your work will directly impact our goal to provide an excellent buying experience. The role is based on a 5-day week from 8am to 5pm, with part-time options available where you could work 30 hours at a pro-rata salary of £30,000.
Main Duties And Responsibilities
* Manage and monitor the Purchase Ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
* Record and enter supplier invoices, ensuring they match Purchase Orders.
* Assist with Credit Control as needed.
* Cross-check Purchase Ledger entries against payments and resolve discrepancies.
* Address queries from staff and suppliers promptly.
* Chase customer Proforma payments and input invoices into the ERP system.
* Manage bank payment receipts, delivery notes, stock adjustment forms, and invoices.
* Verify freight invoice details for accuracy.
* Oversee credit account openings and perform supplier statement reconciliations.
* Post bank payments, record utility metre readings, and handle mailing duties.
* Assist with stock-take through spot checks on the two-bin system.
About You
You will be an experienced Accounts Assistant with strong commercial awareness, excellent communication skills, and high numeracy. You thrive under pressure with meticulous attention to detail. Flexibility, adaptability, and a positive attitude towards change are essential.
