Associate Director - Recruiting Safety Engineers and Human Factors Engineers
Location: Bristol / Hybrid
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 + Company Benefits
Summary:
We are recruiting for a Safety Engineer on behalf of an independent Safety and Environmental Consultancy in Bristol. The company has been in business for over 10 years and aims to provide a flexible and positive working environment for all employees, operating with integrity, openness, and trust.
This company has achieved considerable growth due to its employee-focused approach and is looking to add more expertise to the Maritime Safety Group to meet growing client requirements.
The Role:
We are looking for individuals with a demonstrable background in providing maritime safety support within a consultancy environment who are ready to take on key roles within our consultancy business and develop our services within key customer accounts.
Key Attributes:
* Prior experience in a consultancy-based/client-focused environment
* Experience in the UK defence industry
* Experience of undertaking detailed hazard and risk analysis utilizing techniques such as SWIFT, HAZOP, FMECA, FTA, LOPA, etc.
* Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards including DSA02-DMR and Def Stan 00-056
* Proven track record in managing and delivering large/complex technical projects and/or multiple concurrent technical projects
* Experience of working on large and/or complex bids in the UK Defence Industry
* Knowledge of Def Stan 00-055, Mil Std 882E, or IEC 61508
* Proven track record in developing and maintaining successful client relationships
* Chartered engineer, Member or Fellow of a relevant professional institution
You will have excellent communication skills and a high standard of English and grammar supported by a sound technical engineering background. You will need to be highly effective in organizing your own time and workload, especially when working from home.
