Job Title: Project Manager – Pressure Systems / Steam Boiler / High-Pressure Piping Location: South Wales Salary: £DOE Job Type: Permanent Industry: Engineering / Industrial Services About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager with experience in pressure systems, steam boilers, and high-pressure piping. This role is ideal for an individual with a strong technical background in mechanical or process engineering, capable of managing projects from inception to completion while ensuring compliance with industry regulations and safety standards. Also having an understanding of heavy industrial works, energy from waste and marine sectors will be a distinct advantage. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage projects involving steam boilers, pressure vessels, and high-pressure piping from planning to execution. Oversee the design, installation, maintenance, and inspection of pressure systems to ensure regulatory compliance. Coordinate with engineering teams, contractors, and clients to ensure project objectives are met on time and within budget. Ensure all works comply with HSE, PSSR (Pressure Systems Safety Regulations), and other relevant industry standards. Manage project documentation, risk assessments, and safety protocols. Liaise with suppliers, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure the quality and availability of materials. Conduct site inspections and audits to monitor progress, quality, and safety adherence. Provide technical expertise and problem-solving support for complex engineering challenges. Requirements: Proven experience in project management within pressure systems, steam boilers, or high-pressure piping environments. Strong knowledge of PSSR, PED (Pressure Equipment Directive), ASME, and other relevant industry regulations. Engineering degree (Mechanical, Process, or related field) or equivalent industry experience. Project Management qualification (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP) is advantageous. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring quality and safety standards. Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
