Your role at Veezu: Reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer, this role will ensure that each part of the regional and national account base, and the various support functions, are reported as a profit & loss within the overall Group Financial accounts. A key focus will be a thorough financial analysis of all parts of the Commercial function ranging from sales opportunities to cost bases and vehicle fleet capex modelling. This role is based nationally, and while some regular travelling to the key operational/commercial regions within the business is required (specifically in support of commercial reviews), the role can be located either centrally at Company HQ in Cardiff or at one of our increasing numbers of operational hubs. We are a tech-driven on-demand mobility service that supports our hyper-local communities, helping them thrive and so much more What you’ll do: The position will require a strong, experienced, driven self-starter who is experienced within the b2b sector and preference would be given to the candidate who has worked closely with a large commercial accounts and business development function where providing high volume transactional services is a core activity. The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant capable of accurate reporting, trend analytics and working with a diverse range of support-based p&ls through to Business Development professionals who are modelling customer propositions and requirements. Some experience of acquisition due diligence and commercial contract reviews process would be preferred but not essential. Key Objectives: Credit Control To build and develop small teams incorporating business reporting, trending and analytics and account customer credit control. To strengthen the credit control process, run a group-wide centralisation process introducing industry standard credit control software. Standardise credit control operating processes to ensure an efficient cash collection is developed within a performance management culture. Deliver improved YOY debtor day/days overdue performance. National & Regional Commercial Accounts Develop account level profitability measures by sector, region and type of activity. Include pricing analytics and profiling for regional and national account sectors. Develop commercial account trading review templates in conjunction with the Chief Customer Officer and be integral to the period commercial trading review process. Increasingly develop analytical capability within the functional team. Sponsor the ongoing system integrity of existing accounts ensuring data and service profiles are regularly maintained within the dispatch database. Business Development Maintain the Sales and Account incentive plans providing ‘independent verification’ that incentive plans are both well managed and effective. Support new prospect profiling to within acceptable levels of cost and margin ensuring our operational business can deliver excellent service at commercial rates that we can be successful with. Support the back-office mobilisation process for new accounts ensuring invoicing is set up accurately to enable ‘first pass billing’ to be achieved. Support the broader objective of increasingly automating our account customer bookings process. Assist in new commercial contract document legal review. Commercial Support Functions Provide financial input to the developing fully employed driver model. Provide financial reporting for the various commercial support functions such as Veezu Black (chauffeur services) and Veezu Minibus plus any further adjacent services which the group develops. Enhancement of vehicle workshop p&l’s focusing on efficiency of Hire Vehicles for the operational fleet and the supporting vehicle maintenance facilities (internal & external). Capex modelling for replacement Hire vehicle fleets and deferred capex requirements for new to group acquisitions. Financial modelling for new adjacent service development opportunities. What you’ll need: Qualifications: Qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA) Established b2b industry experience in a high transaction service environment with strong b2b relationships. Credible stakeholder engagement skills to align with our organisation’s values and behaviours. Strong interpersonal, influencing and communication skills.
