This is an exciting time for North Staffordshire Combined Healthcare CAMHS services as we implement the iThrive model. The successful applicant will offer highly valued clinical psychology interventions, support the psychological leadership and provide consultation and supervision to the South Stoke Community CAMHS service for children, young people and families and carers. The South Stoke CAMHS team is a multi-disciplinary service which offers assessment, formulation, consultation and therapeutic interventions to children and young people who present with complex mental health and emotional wellbeing needs, as well as to children and young people who have experienced trauma and individuals who present with attachment difficulties. The postholder will contribute to and support in the clinical leadership and implementation of our Clinical Pathways including for the Attachment and Trauma Pathways with training opportunities available across a range of models including DDP, Theraplay, NVR, DBT and EMDR. Main duties of the job The Community CAMHS service is well established and is staffed with a Principal Clinical Psychologist, Assistant Psychologist, Administration staff, Team Leader, Clinical Lead, Senior Therapist, Specialist therapists (including CBT and EMDR therapists), Mental Health Practitioners (qualified nurses, social workers, and occupational therapists), Independent Nurse Prescriber, Child and Adolescent Psychiatrists, and a Play and Parenting Specialist. Where indicated, we liaise closely with our other CAMHS services (Intensive Support Hub, school age ASD team, Eating Disorders, Learning Disabilities, and Paediatric Psychology), Crisis Care Centre, and other agencies. The South Stoke CAMHS team was previously shortlisted for the Trust's REACH awards under the category of Team of the Year. The team is nurturing, welcoming and supportive with a strong ethos of collaboration and shared team decision-making within a holistic framework. Guidance, supervision and support in this role will be provided by a Principal Clinical Psychologist, with management supervision by the Team Leader.
