We are a trusted provider working with local authorities in Reading to support children with special educational needs (SEN) or gaps in their education. We are seeking passionate and qualified QTS Tutors to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children who require additional educational support. Sessions are delivered flexibly, tailored to the needs of the child, and take place in their home, school, or a local library.
Job Description & Duties:
Deliver 1:1 tutoring sessions to children in core subjects, adapting teaching methods to suit the individual needs of each child.
Work collaboratively with parents, carers, and other professionals to create and implement tailored learning plans.
Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment to support children in reaching their educational goals.
Track and report on student progress, ensuring continuous assessment and feedback to relevant stakeholders.
Attend training sessions and keep up to date with best practices in SEN and education.
Required Qualities:
Teaching qualification such as QTS or PGCE in a core subject.
Minimum of 1 year's experience teaching.
The right to work in the UK.
Possess or be willing to undertake an Enhanced DBS check.
Desirable Qualities:
Experience working with children with SEN.
Contract & Pay:
Contract type: Temporary.
Pay: Starting from £25 per hour.
Hours: Flexible-choose to work as much or as little as suits you. Morning, afternoon, and evening sessions are available.
Location:
Sessions are conducted in the child's home, school, or a local library, depending on individual circumstances.
