The Faculty of Social and Life Sciences is a thriving teaching and research environment looking to build its undergraduate and postgraduate student population. The North Wales Business School (NWBS) forms a key part of the Faculty of Social and Life Sciences. The department delivers a range of high-quality business programmes. Applicants with qualifications in accountancy and finance are particularly sought at this time. Possessing a PhD or working towards it is essential for this post. We seek enthusiastic individuals who are able to draw on their own experience in accounting or finance roles to bring learning to life with relevant examples. Therefore, Wrexham University (WU) seeks to appoint professionals with the relevant experience to develop and deliver programmes and modules relevant to the contemporary workforce.
The post holder will be expected to deliver within a wide range of programmes within NWBS and the Faculty of Social and Life Sciences as appropriate. There is an emphasis on making learning active and applicable to real work settings, developed through written assignments and practical relevant work-based tasks. Teaching will include a variety of modules including accountancy and finance on undergraduate and postgraduate Business Studies and Management programmes. The post holder will be responsible for contributing to the development of contemporary business programs and modules at WU, working collaboratively, flexibly, and collegially within a team, and will demonstrate innovation through the design of the curriculum informed by research and relationships with external partners from relevant sectors.
The post holder will have a master's Level Qualification, hold professional membership/accreditation where relevant, and be committed to further professional and academic development in order to continually improve the curriculum offer. A teaching qualification relevant to Higher Education will be held, or commitment to achieving one will be required. To possess a doctoral qualification would be an advantage, or a willingness to work towards it is essential. Prior teaching/training experience is preferable.
Interviews will be held in person at Wrexham University. Interviews and micro teach will take place in the week of 5th May 2025.
