The role is core within the services of the outpatient department, which will include working within the Antenatal Clinic, Maternity Day Assessment Unit and Maternity Helpline.

We are a large inclusive team of maternity staff working across St Mary's Hospital, Queen Charlottes & Chelsea Hospital and the across the community. Main duties of the job
1. Actively promoting and encouraging a healthy lifestyle, advising and arranging support for women as required.
2. Liaising with the multidisciplinary teams to ensure the safe care of women/birthing people and their families.
3. Practise in line with clinical governance and risk assessment.
4. Undertake clinical assessment of maternal and fetal wellbeing over the telephone and in person.
5. Work in a fast-paced environment, making clinical decisions.

Person Specification
* Registered Midwife
* BSc in Midwifery
* 2 years as practising
* Champion for midwifery led care
* Counselling Qualification
Experience
* Completed 1 year post registration clinical experience working as an RM in the UK
* Completed preceptorship course if applicable
* Experience of working in all clinical settings
* Ability to deal with difficult situations/people and reduce conflict
* Able to demonstrate conducting annual appraisals
Skills/knowledge/ abilities
