My client is a global leading, environmentally focused solutions provider with offices across the UK. They currently have an opening for a Human Resources Manager to join them to cover maternity leave, (9-12 months, part time hours may be considered).
About you…
As a generalist HR Manager you will play a vital role in shaping effective and positive employment relationships. This is a hands-on role where you will provide expert advice and guidance to employees and managers on a wide range of HR matters. You will support with handling complex disciplinary and grievance cases to leading organisational change initiatives, driving performance improvements and supporting employees with health and long-term absence issues.
The role will work as part of a busy office, focusing on providing a high-quality generalist HR service to the business as well as other ad-hoc projects as and when required.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of HR and organisational skills and the role would suit an enthusiastic, organised individual with a desire to learn and take on new challenges in a variety of tasks whilst working in a constantly changing environment.
Some of the key responsibilities of the role include:
* Coaching and advising line managers on all People matters.
* Working with senior leaders to deliver the People Strategy
* Managing and progressing HR casework.
* Working collaboratively with recruiting managers
* Providing support across all HR projects as and when required
* Managing the Team HR Administrator
The successful candidate will have:
* Previous generalist HR experience (5+ years preferably)
* Experience with HR systems, payroll and HR Databases (knowledge of ADP would be a real advantage
* The ability to work independently and initiate new projects.
* A can-do attitude and a willingness to learn.
* Organised and able to multi-task effectively
* Good MS office and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Willing & able to travel to other UK sites when necessary.
* Bachelor's degree or relevant experience
* Strong organizational, critical thinking and communications skills
* Attention to detail and good judgement
