Sustainability Consultant - Energy
Location - Leeds, Manchester, London or Bristol
We are currently seeking to recruit an individual with a genuine passion for sustainability to support this strategic growth opportunity.
You will have a minimum of 1 year's experience of working in sustainability (or related field), ideally within a consultancy environment. An understanding of commercial property is desirable, but a RICS qualification is not essential. The role is up to and including Consultancy grade and you would be reporting directly into the Associate leading this area of work nationally with a team around you to support delivery. We promote a flexible working model and would expect a balance of office and home working. The following minimum requirements form a key part of this role with the desirable requirements being an opportunity to demonstrate industry experience and knowledge.
Core Responsibilities:
1. Experience using energy simulation software, ideally IES
2. Demonstrate experience in the design and delivery of energy analysis, legislative compliance and energy auditing
3. Experience in routine reporting internally and externally for client stakeholders
4. Evident passion to drive energy efficiency within the built environment
5. Strong verbal and graphic communication skills
6. Ability to thrive in a dynamic, team-focused environment and also work individually
7. Highly motivated and self-assured individual with drive for self-development
Skills & Experience:
1. Experience designing HVAC systems in the commercial property sector
2. Demonstrate experience of operating within the commercial property sector
3. Working knowledge of building certification standards like BREEAM, LEED, WELL or Fitwel
4. Working experience of conducting advanced data analytics including energy modelling and life cycle analysis (LCA)
