We are seeking a friendly, organised, Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a veterinary reception role and will be able to handle a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment. The Veterinary Receptionist will be the first point of contact for our clients and will play a crucial role in ensuring a positive experience for both pets and their owners.
Key Responsibilities:
* Greet clients and patients with a warm and welcoming attitude.
* Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage the practice’s appointment calendar.
* Handle client inquiries and provide information about our services, procedures, and policies.
* Process payments, manage billing, and handle basic financial transactions.
* Maintain accurate client and patient records using our practice management software.
* Assist with the preparation and filing of medical records and other documentation.
* Communicate effectively with veterinary staff to ensure smooth workflow and coordination of patient care.
* Manage the reception area, ensuring it is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
* Assist with other administrative tasks as needed.
Our ideal person
Previous experience as a veterinary receptionist is essential for this role, as it requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail are crucial, as well as proficiency in using computer systems and practice management software. The ideal candidate should be able to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a compassionate and caring attitude toward both animals and their owners. A reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor is expected, along with the ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and additional qualifications in customer service or administration are considered a plus.
