This is an exciting opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor, ideally from a Tier 1 or Main Contractor infrastructure background, to work for a pioneering ground stabilisation and enabling solutions contractor, with flexibility to be based nationwide and work between site and home.
As part of one of the UK's leading Civil Engineering Groups and working as a specialist contractor on major infrastructure projects, you will be part of a team delivering Full Turnkey enabling works solutions including temporary works, earthworks, permanent stabilisation / ground improvement and civil engineering works.
They have won a number of projects in the Yorkshire area, with the initial project being site based 3 days a week, delivering Haulage Road and Enabling Works packages on a major OHL installation project.
Quantity Surveyor roles and responsibilities:
Full commercial administration of contracts. Working with Commercial Director and wider team to price and tender new contracts. Monitoring & reviewing progress on site in line with commercials and programme. Agreeing monthly payment valuations. Agreeing instructions, change and processing variations. Take-off's and Remeasurement Attending client and project progress meetings. Agreeing Final Accounts.Quantity Surveyor requirements:
Degree or HNC/HND Quantity Surveying or construction related qualification. 5 - 10 years' experience working on civil engineering, enabling works &/or ground stabilisation projects. Sector experience within either Power, Water, Gas, Rail or Highways. Experienced in self-delivery of projects from award to final accounts. Able to produce quotations from drawings, price variations, do Take-Offs and remeasure. Well organised, diligent, self-motivated, and proactive. Full UK driving license.Quantity Surveyor Benefits:
