User Researcher (Government Digital Services) User Researcher (GDS & Beta Experience) Remote Working Six month contract (initially) £450 to £500 per day (Outside-IR35) The Opportunity: We are seeking an experienced User Researcher for a 6-month contract opportunity offered as an outside-IR35 engagement. This role is perfect for someone with hands-on experience in user research within the public sector, particularly working with Government Digital Services (GDS) and during the Beta phase of digital service delivery. You will play a critical role in ensuring the services we deliver meet real user needs by gathering, analysing and synthesizing user feedback, while adhering to GDS standards. Consulting as a User Researcher, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and conduct research activities, provide actionable insights, and help shape the user experience throughout the Beta phase. Skills and Experience: Proven experience as a User Researcher, ideally within government or public sector digital services Strong experience in conducting user research throughout the Beta phase of digital projects Knowledge of Government Digital Service (GDS) guidelines and the ability to apply them in a research context Expertise in a range of qualitative and quantitative research methods, including interviews, usability testing, surveys and data analysis Role and Responsibilities: Plan, design, and conduct user research activities, including interviews, surveys, usability testing and contextual inquiries, throughout the Beta phase Work closely with product managers, designers, developers, and business analysts to define research objectives and ensure alignment with project goals Provide actionable insights from user research that inform product design, iteration and decision-making Create user personas, journey maps, and other research materials to communicate findings and support both the design and development teams Ensure that research findings are presented clearly and effectively to stakeholders at all levels, both technical and non-technical Conduct user testing and feedback sessions with real users to identify pain points, usability issues and opportunities for improvement Applications: If you're a highly skilled User Researcher with experience in GDS and Beta phases, pleased call and speak with Jodie Hall here at ISR Recruitment, please call and speak with Jodie Hall here at ISR Recruitment or please send through a copy of your latest CV ( jodieisr.uk.com ) and/or online business profile to learn more?
