Main duties of the job
We are currently seeking a skilled and dynamic Trainer to join our Learning & Development team. This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced professionals who are passionate about delivering impactful training to empower colleagues across our organisation.

As a Trainer, you will be responsible for delivering and assessing mandatory and specialist training to ensure colleagues are equipped with the knowledge and skills required to provide exceptional care. This includes mandatory induction, updates, and practical skill assessments.
The successful candidate will be based in Oxford and will be expected to travel to Active Care Group sites and training venues within an approximate 100-mile radius of their base location.

Job responsibilities
What you'll be working:
The standard working hours for this role are 37.5 hours per week, from 9.00am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday.

What you'll be doing:
* Independently deliver mandatory and specialist training sessions.
* Train and assess Support Workers in essential skills, such as safer people handling and emergency first aid.
* Collaborate with the clinical and training teams to ensure high-quality training materials and fair assessment practices.
* Adapt sessions to meet individual and group learner needs.
* Maintain and prepare training environments to optimise learning experiences.
* Record trainee development and feedback using electronic systems.
* Keep personal training and knowledge up-to-date through CPD.
* Support compliance with all organisational policies and safeguarding standards.
* Keeping people safe from any harm and protecting their human rights.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Training qualification i.e. Teaching & Assessing award L3, Mentorship award, Moving and Handling Trainer and/or Assessor, or willing to work towards.
* A full UK driving license and access to a vehicle (travel may include overnight stays).
Experience
* Minimum of 18 months of occupational competency in Health & Social Care.
* Experience working with individuals with physical and/or neurological conditions.
* Strong presentation, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
* Computer literate, with the ability to adapt to diverse audiences.
