Having experience in using technology in a warehouse or factory environment is key. You'll have a good understanding of warehouse/inventory processes and how IT systems can support these operations. Excellent problem-solving skills, root cause analysis and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey numerical information accurately to stakeholders. A commitment to continuous learning and staying current with the latest best practices on how we manage inventory within our facility. Experience with food manufacturing/warehousing. Experience in working collaboratively in a team setting, including liaising with external partners and vendors. Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to changes in a dynamic work environment. Awareness of information security principles and data protection practices. Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks, manage time effectively, and maintain detailed documentation. Responsibilities: As a Manufacturing Inventory Controller, you will: Act as the primary contact for inventory related issues within the manufacturing facility, troubleshooting and minimising downtime Carry out stock counts at the end of each production run prior to materials being returned into the warehouse, and ensuring these are accurately reflected in the system Identify and resolve any variances between system records and physical inventory through regular stock counts within our manufacturing area Work closely with our finance, planning and product supply teams through to quickly address and resolve any stock discrepancies Become a system expert on our WMS and MES to the point where you can train other team members for the most accuracy and efficient use of them in operation Collaborate cross-functionally with teams to enhance WMS and MES, streamline workflows, and ensure accurate data flow across functions. Utilise data-driven decision making to identify trends, anticipate inventory needs, and drive continuous improvement in inventory control processes Support with production scheduling and stock allocation. Play a key role in conducting regular cycle counts and annual physical inventory.
