South Bromsgrove High is an over-subscribed, high performing 13-18 school.
We seek to appoint a Student Receptionist to provide general clerical and first aid assistance to students at Student Reception, and to support main reception when required.
Main duties of post include:
* Ensure that clerical and first aid/medical support is provided to students.
* Reporting any issues/concerns to the pastoral team.
* Ensuring all First Aid incidents are recorded and reported accurately and in a timely fashion.
* Ensuring enquiries from external and internal customers are dealt with in a courteous and professional manner, relaying messages promptly.
* In liaison with colleagues, providing cover in case of absent reception staff ensuring the smooth running of the area.
* Dealing with students who require lunch slips.
* Logging students who are leaving school/arriving late due to appointments, etc.
* Delivery of urgent messages to staff and students.
* Ensuring Bromcom (MIS) entries for student mobile phone sanctions and making sure repeat offenders are reported to appropriate staff.
* Assisting with repatriation of phones and lost property.
* In consultation with Line Manager, other duties commensurate with the responsibilities associated with this post.
We are looking for a candidate who is either a qualified First Aider or is willing to undertake full training.

This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent and spoken English is an essential requirement for this role.
This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and is eligible for an enhanced DBS check, including a Barred list check. If you are barred from working with children, you are breaking the law if you apply for this post.

Hours: 35 hours per week (8:30am - 4:00pm), Term Time plus 4 PD days.
Salary: Scale 2 (Point 3-4) Actual salary £19,448 to £19,753.
