Overview
A leading aerospace manufacturer is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer specializing in Surface Treatments to join their multi-disciplined team to help produce world-class aerospace components. Collaborating with key stakeholders, this role will include developing and optimizing special processes to boost durability and stress resistance while ensuring that parts comply with NADCAP & AS9100.
Essential Requirements
1. Degree or HNC/D within an engineering discipline and proven aerospace experience.
2. Experience in a Manufacturing Engineering role within the Aerospace, Automotive, or Medical Industries.
3. Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new processes and manufacturing techniques.
4. Ability to understand and communicate requirements of industry/international/customer specifications to the wider business.
5. CAD for fixture design.
Desirable
1. Experience as an ME or QE Special Processes in Aerospace manufacturing (Shot peening, Painting, Coating, Plating, Heat Treatment etc.)
2. Robot programming experience or qualifications.
3. Qualifications and experience with quality management tools such as PFMEA, 8D problem solving, etc.
