Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation with various locations across Scotland, is currently looking to recruit a HR Adviser for an initial 6 month contract with option to extend on a rate of £187.39 - £207.13/day (Inside IR35). This role will be hybrid working with up to 2 days per week in office. This will usually be the Dundee office however there may be travel to other offices.
Responsibilities:
1. Providing an in-house advisory service to senior managers and employees covering the full range of HR operations issues, providing guidance and expert knowledge to support effective decision making.
2. Leading on the delivery of allocated HR improvement projects and/or carrying out project work as required.
3. Writing HR policies, procedures and guidance to ensure compliance with legislation.
4. Seeking opportunities to develop and streamline processes.
Minimum Requirements:
1. A degree or equivalent qualification in human resources (HR) related subject at SCQF level 10 or above or significant current HR experience that demonstrates the membership standards of the CIPD experience assessment.
2. Ideally be registered with the CIPD.
3. Evidence of implementing people management policies and procedures.
4. Track record of dealing with case management support including attendance, performance, disciplinary and grievance issues.
5. Ability to plan and prioritise own workload.
6. Working knowledge and experience of negotiating and collaborating with trade unions.
7. CIPD membership.
8. Experience of using an HR/Payroll management information system.
