Our facility offers a nurturing and engaging environment for children aged 0-5 years, encouraging curiosity, creativity, and growth. As a new establishment, we are looking for a dynamic and experienced Nursery Manager to lead our dedicated team and help shape the future of the nursery.
Role Overview
As the Nursery Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management of the nursery, ensuring that we provide high-quality care and education. You will oversee the day-to-day operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, supporting staff development, and building positive relationships with children, parents, and the wider community.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee the smooth running of the nursery, including managing budgets, staffing, and resources.
* Ensure all nursery policies and procedures meet regulatory requirements, including Ofsted standards.
* Lead, support, and develop a team of educators, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
* Ensure high standards of teaching, learning, and care, focusing on each child’s individual development.
* Build strong partnerships with parents and caregivers, providing clear communication and support.
* Manage health and safety, safeguarding, and child protection procedures.
* Develop innovative and stimulating learning experiences tailored to different age groups.
* Handle administrative tasks such as enrolment, attendance, and staff schedules.
* Ensure full occupancy levels are maintained.
Skills and Experience Required
* Proven experience in a Nursery Manager or similar leadership role within early years settings.
* A minimum of a Level 3 qualification in Childcare (Level 5 or degree in Early Childhood Education preferred).
* Thorough understanding of EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) framework and Ofsted requirements.
* Strong leadership and team management skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with staff, children, and parents.
* A passion for early childhood education and a commitment to providing the highest standards of care.
* Knowledge of safeguarding, health & safety, and child protection policies.
* Proficiency in managing nursery administration, budgeting, and staff scheduling.
