Job Overview:
Do you want to help to develop the compilers and tools that build the code in real world applications? Arm is looking for highly skilled and motivated software engineers with broad experience and an interest in compilers and software performance. You will join our established team working on our commercial and open-source toolchains for Arm devices. We work closely with our partners, who rely on our tools to support their future successes across many markets, including servers, HPC, AI, automotive, embedded and medical.
You will collaborate with your team and colleagues across the company, and your work will cover various aspects of our tools, including compilers, linkers and libraries. We have contributed many changes to the open-source LLVM project. The work will include improvements to the toolchain features, including optimisation for performance or code size, ongoing maintenance of the toolchain, and enabling customers in new application areas to use Arm technology to its full potential.

Responsibilities:
1. Develop high-quality, reliable toolchain improvements for Arm’s partners.
2. Work with other groups in Arm to expand support of the Arm architecture & Arm IP.
3. Contribution to open-source LLVM and related projects.
Required Skills and Experience:
1. Excellent programming skills in C/C++.
2. Experience developing, testing, delivering, and maintaining production-quality software in a commercial environment.
3. Dedicated and flexible, you are someone who is technically versatile, and can learn new skills that you can apply across multiple types of work.
“Nice To Have” Skills and Experience:
1. Understanding of the purpose and structure of compilers, assemblers and linkers.
2. Experience in contributing to an open-source project and working with an open-source community.
3. Interest in software performance.
4. Experience in development in a Linux environment.
5. Experience in handling direct technical contact with customers and collaborators.
