This is an exciting time to join our school; we are experiencing a tremendous increase in numbers, allowing us to recruit new staff to join our team. You would be joining a forward-thinking and fully supportive team of staff who are passionate about improving opportunities for all students. Archway was visited by a team of Ofsted inspectors in March 2022 and was graded 'Good' in all five categories, with an overall effectiveness grade of 'Good'. The inspectors recognized the significant progress that had been made in a number of areas since the previous inspection in 2018. The school prides itself on its inclusive attitude and green credentials.
This is an excellent developmental opportunity, and we welcome applications from all qualified teachers with a strong interest in teaching maths, even if not a subject specialist. The mathematics department is committed to obtaining outstanding results and positive career outcomes for students.
The Maths team consists of eight motivated members of staff who have a real sense of teamwork. The atmosphere is supportive, and they help each other improve. They collaborate well to produce high-quality overviews of learning.
The successful candidate will:
1. Deliver engaging and accessible maths lessons.
2. Support students in developing confidence and problem-solving skills in mathematics.
3. Work closely with the Maths department to ensure high-quality teaching and learning.
4. Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance subject knowledge.
5. Contribute to the wider school community and student enrichment activities.
Successful candidates will benefit from:
1. Subject-specific CPD for non-specialists.
2. Use of school facilities such as the swimming pool and gym.
3. After school activities such as staff Pilates.
4. Electric car charging points at an additional cost.
5. One paid ‘wellbeing day’ per academic year, which can be booked off during term time.

The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check, and this position is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974.
As part of our due diligence for safer recruitment, the school may carry out online searches for shortlisted candidates to help identify any incidents or issues which may need to be explored at interview. The searches would be made on open-source information and may include, but will not be limited to, the main social networking sites, including Instagram and Facebook.
