The Role
We’re seeking a dedicated and patient SEMH Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a child with behavioural needs. Your role will be to create a safe, structured, and nurturing environment where they can thrive.
* Location: Cambridge
* Contract: Full Time - term time only
* Start Date: ASAP
* Pay Rate: Competitive, based on experience
Your Day-to-Day
* Working closely with the child to build trust and help regulate their behaviour.
* Supporting academic, social, and emotional development in line with the child’s individual education plan (IEP).
* Collaborating with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to implement strategies.
* Creating and maintaining consistent routines to foster a sense of security.
About You
This role is perfect for someone who:
* Has experience working with children with SEMH needs and/or behavioural challenges.
* Can remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
* Is creative, adaptable, and solution-focused.
* Ideally has a relevant qualification (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, or equivalent) or significant experience.
