Due to an exciting period of growth our client is seeking an experienced Product Development professional for the development, product approvals, and marketing of fire products in the UK and Europe, with additional support for the Middle East and Africa ( MEA ). This role requires close collaboration with the Offerings Manager to promote a global fire product. Reporting To: Business Development Director – Fire UK & EMEA Qualifications/Skills/Knowledge/Attributes: HNC in Mechanical and Production Engineering. Engineering degree (desirable) Professional Diploma in Business Management. (desirable) Extensive technical knowledge of fire pumps or related products for example HVAC, valves and pumps. Experience in both practical and commercial roles within the building services sector or any pump background. Strong ability to motivate and lead others. Proven track record of managing deadlines and handling multiple projects simultaneously. Principal Accountabilities: Ensure compliance with fire product legislation. Maintain product approvals and oversee quality and performance. Develop innovative fire products and solutions. Supervise and mentor direct reports as needed. Stay informed about industry trends and market conditions. Manage ISO9001, ISO14001, and other relevant national standards. Key Tasks: Deliver exceptional customer service in line with our clients Customer Service Charter. Address technical queries related to fire products for the UK and EMEA regions. Review and manage fire sales order entries. Identify components for fire pump spare quotations. Collaborate with Engineering on fire product matters. Assist Production and Planning teams with technical issues and performance. Participate in product development meetings for ongoing fire product enhancements. Support Sales teams in the UK and EMEA with product information and administrative tasks. Represent the client on industry bodies such as LPCB and BAFSA. Manage and maintain FM & LPCB product approvals and future European approvals. Assess training needs for team members and conduct necessary training sessions. Contribute to achieving departmental operating plan objectives.
