We are seeking a highly qualified and dedicated SENDCo (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) to join their team in a full-time, permanent position starting this September. Position Summary The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing the school's SEND provision, ensuring that students with diverse learning needs receive the support and guidance necessary to achieve their full potential. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the school's SEND team, providing strategic direction and operational oversight. Develop and implement comprehensive SEND policies and procedures in line with current legislation and best practices. Oversee the identification, assessment, and provision of support for students with SEN. Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and external agencies to ensure effective communication and coordination of support. Champion inclusive practices throughout the school, promoting a positive and supportive learning environment for all students. Qualifications & Experience: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification. National Award for SEN Coordination or willingness to work towards it. Proven experience in a SEND leadership role or extensive experience supporting students with special educational needs. In-depth knowledge of SEND legislation and current best practices.
