Leapfrog Therapies is a modern and progressive company providing a variety of education and therapy services for children and young people. We have an exciting new opportunity for an Occupational Therapist to join our team! If you’re passionate about delivering values-driven multidisciplinary therapy and education programs, this could be the role for you! All programs have behaviour analysis at the core, as well as a strong PBS framework, and incorporate education research, parenting research, and attachment theory.
Note: Clients are spread over Leeds, Bradford, and Wakefield.
Main Duties:
* Deliver 1-1 OT sessions with a small number of clients.
* Work 1-1 with children aged 2-18.
* Run therapy alongside Leapfrog Early Intervention Therapists and provide training to deliver your recommendations.
* Assess, take data, and keep meticulous records.
* Work closely with parents and school/nursery staff.
* Attend team workshops once per term for each child.
* Be part of the Senior Team at Leapfrog Therapies and help inform best practice and services offered.
Essential Qualifications:
* You must have previous experience working with children with autism and special education needs.
* You must have experience assessing, delivering therapy, and providing consultation/training for your recommendations.
* You must have experience with sensory needs/difficulties.
* You must be reliable and committed.
* You must have excellent communication skills.
* You must have the right to work in the UK.
* You must have a clean DBS.
* Having access to a car is a plus for ease of getting to clients.
Desirable Qualifications:
* You may have availability to work with additional children in the future as the company expands!
* You will ideally have training/qualifications in Sensory Integration Therapy.
