Spire Bristol Hospital is recruiting for a Patient Services Assistant to be responsible for providing support of administration, customer facing and service functions throughout the hospital. Working hrs and days: Earliest start 6.30am, latest finish 8pm Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri. Shifts are worked on a rota basis so a mix of 6.30am-2.30pm, 12pm-8pm and shifts in-between on those days. The ideal candidate must be able to work flexibly. Duties and Responsibilities: Providing outstanding levels of customer service to all stakeholders. Promptly answering all incoming phone calls and transferring them appropriately throughout the hospital. Taking messages where appropriate and delivering those in a quick and efficient manner. Sorting all incoming mail to the appropriate departments/consultants. Franking all outgoing mail that comes in on a daily basis. Various admin duties, using SAP or other software applications. Contributing to the general cleanliness, neatness and smooth running of the post room and reception areas at all times. Reception duties: welcoming, registering and directing patients, consultants and hospital teams as required. Undertaking all work in accordance with company hospital policies and procedures, ensuring familiarity with the Health and Safety at Work Act. Maintaining confidentiality of all information related to patients, consultants and staff. Presenting a professional, smart image at all times, ensuring adherence to hospital uniform policy. Undertaking any other tasks that reasonably fall within the general nature and level of responsibility for this post. Who We're Looking For: Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, including listening and facilitation skills. Educated to GCSE level including English and Maths. High degree of accuracy and a methodical approach to workload. Excellent telephone manner and customer service skills are essential. Prior experience working in a customer-facing administrative role. Basic knowledge of hospital systems (or similar), including processes and procedures. Full knowledge and application of MS Office. Telephony skills. Excellent organisation and communication skills. Computer literate with good keyboard skills. Good customer care skills with the ability to handle difficult situations.
