Position: EYFS Teaching Assistant- Nursery
Location: Hull, Kingston-Upon-Hull
About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teaching Assistant to join our team on a supply basis, working with nursery-aged children in various primary schools across Hull. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about early childhood education and is looking for flexible working arrangements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities that support the development of nursery-aged children.
* Provide individual and group support to children, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development.
* Help create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children feel secure and confident to explore and learn.
* Support the implementation of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
* Monitor and record children’s progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents as needed.
* Assist with the preparation and organisation of classroom resources and materials.
* Contribute to the maintenance of a clean, tidy, and inviting classroom environment.
* Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play, ensuring their safety at all times.
* Encourage positive behaviour and support children in developing their personal, social, and communication skills.
Requirements:
* Relevant qualifications in Early Years Education (e.g., CACHE Level 2 or 3, NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Childcare, or equivalent).
* Experience working with nursery-aged children, preferably within a school setting.
* A good understanding of the EYFS framework and principles.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* A patient, caring, and supportive approach to working with young children.
* Flexibility and adaptability to work in different school settings and with varying schedules.
* An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
