SENDCo (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Coordinator) - Cambridgeshire, PE2
We are currently working in close partnership with an Ofsted-graded Good Academy in Cambridgeshire, PE2, to find a dedicated and experienced SENDCo for a permanent, full-time role. This exciting opportunity comes with a salary of £52,072 to £58,956 annually, reflecting the importance of this leadership position (Leadership Pay Scale 5-10).
About the Role:
As the SENDCo, you will take the lead in supporting pupils with special educational needs and disabilities across the Academy. This role is pivotal in ensuring that all pupils have access to the curriculum and the support they need to succeed. Your responsibilities will include:
* Developing and implementing individual education plans tailored to each student's unique needs
* Monitoring and assessing progress, setting measurable targets, and making necessary adjustments to support each student's development
* Working closely with external agencies to provide a comprehensive support network for pupils and their families
* Providing pastoral care, ensuring the emotional and social wellbeing of students is nurtured alongside their academic progress
* Leading SEND provision within the Academy, contributing to a high-achieving school environment.

The Ideal Candidate:
* Holds the National Award for SENDCo and has significant experience working with pupils in the secondary age range
* Has proven leadership experience, with a passion for improving SEND provision and raising standards
* Possesses excellent communication and teamworking skills, enabling effective collaboration with colleagues, families, and external agencies
* Has a strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection issues, with a commitment to maintaining a safe learning environment for all students.
