Job Title: Principal Systems Engineer - Architecture

Salary: From £50,000 depending on skills and experience plus executive benefits
What you’ll be doing:
1. Lead the development of the system model, championing the adoption of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) within the programme.
2. Assist the Engineering Manager with key engineering tasks and activities.
3. Support the development of design solutions to complex technical problems against agreed time, cost and quality.
4. Support the development and management of Combat Systems requirements.
5. Ensure design proving evidence is comprehensive, captured within the requirements management tools and has been endorsed by the appropriate level of authority.
6. Understand the contractual and performance requirements for Combat Systems and support the definition and associated acceptance criteria and events through design, build, integration, installation and commissioning activities.
7. Provide technical support to integrated performance and acceptance activities, including acceptance of equipment from suppliers through to system acceptance by the customer.
8. Work with various engineering teams to improve own levels of domain knowledge and subject matter expertise.
9. Guide and support more junior members of the team.
Your skills and experiences:
1. Background within a STEM Subject.
2. Proven ability to solve problems.
3. Extensive Stakeholder management skills at all levels with the ability to influence.
4. Chartered Engineer, or actively working towards this.
5. Specific Systems Engineering experience and experience using tools such as IBM DOORS and Enterprise Architect.
6. Experience in leading small teams.
7. Experience in relevant industry.
