Our Maths and English provision supports learners across 66 of our academy sites, including both GCSE and Functional Skills. As a tutor specializing in Maths and English, you will be responsible for supporting learners at our Lincoln Military site who are studying towards a qualification in our military academy.
Role Information: We are looking for a tutor to work on a 9.5 hour contract every Wednesday at our Lincoln Military Academy. You will have an additional 2 hours of admin to be taken at an agreed time.
DUTIES:
* Work with a caseload of learners to support GCSE delivery and ad hoc Functional Skills as needed.
* Understand and assess each learner's starting point and skills development needs through initial assessments and diagnostics.
* Engage with learners face-to-face in our academies in groups.
* Participate in meetings and collaborate with fellow English and Maths peers and the GCSE delivery manager to enhance curriculum and planning in line with LCG and awarding body standards.
* Ensure ILPs are completed according to individual learner requirements, including SMART target setting and planned review points.
* Complete registers using our e-portfolio and log quality samples of teaching and learning to highlight progress.
* Monitor attendance and performance of all Maths learners on your caseload and report effectively to management.
* Provide support systems to facilitate positive retention, achievement, and progression.
* Complete assessments and documentation timely to meet awarding body, funding body, and organizational requirements.
* Contribute to learner disciplinary action requirements where appropriate.
* Undertake internal moderation activities as required.
* Manage bookings for all Maths examinations and SLC assessments for your caseload.
* Collaborate with the GCSE manager to achieve delivery targets.
* Promote and ensure safe working practices in line with current Health and Safety legislation.
* Engage in learning and development activities as required for the job role and maintain a record of all CPD.
* Demonstrate company core values and vision.

Minimum Requirements:
* Qualified Maths Tutor (at least a Level 3 specialism).
* Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in GCSE/Functional Skills.
* Teaching Qualification (at least a Level 3).
* Driving Licence.
