Sight Scotland is Scotland’s leading charity providing specialist care, education and research for people with vision impairment. The charity has been in existence for over 230 years, and offers a variety of services in the community as well as education, transcription into alternative formats, and residential care for adults and children. Their vision is of an inclusive Scotland where people of all visual abilities have the opportunity to thrive. To achieve their mission, they are looking for a Fundraising Manager focused on trusts and grants who will cultivate a pipeline of opportunities and ensure an excellent funder experience, to provide Sight Scotland with sustainable income.
The Fundraising Manager – Trusts is responsible for developing trust income, based initially on a robust pipeline the previous postholder established. There is huge scope to look beyond the pipeline and also work with the service delivery teams to identify new funding opportunities. The role supports the organisation’s purpose to make a significant impact on the lives of people living with visual impairment in Scotland by maximising fundraising income to deliver brilliant services and create a positive impact on our ability to deliver for the long term.
This specialist manager role would suit someone who is already operating at a senior trust fundraiser level, or someone who can demonstrate experience of developing a trust and grants pipeline, creating compelling applications, and directly delivering income success.

To achieve their mission, they are looking for a Supporter Fundraiser who will proactively engage with supporters, community groups, and volunteers in the community.
The Fundraising Manager – Corporates and Philanthropy is responsible for developing and implementing plans to maximise income from corporate partners and individuals with the propensity to donate significant sums. There is huge scope to develop both income streams at Sight Scotland, as this is the first dedicated position covering these income streams.
The primary focus initially will be on developing corporate partnership income, as there is huge potential for partnerships ranging from transactional right up to transformational. The role supports the organisation’s purpose to make a significant impact on the lives of people living with visual impairment in Scotland by maximising fundraising income to deliver brilliant services and create a positive impact on our ability to deliver for the long term.

Reporting to: Director of Fundraising
Place of Work: Hybrid office/home-working model with base being the Dan Young Building, Dullatur G68 0LS. Occasional travel within Scotland to accommodate needs of fundraising. Candidate must have a driving licence and access to a car.
Working Hours: The post can be full time (35 hours) or Part Time (28 hours). Normal work hours are 9.00 am to 4.30 pm. The role will necessitate working some hours out with normal office hours, including evening and some weekends.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
To be as unstoppable as the people we support.
* Implement the Community Strategy, delivering effective, exciting and appropriate fundraising activity including the development of a Farmers Market Scotland wide.
* To be responsible for the organisation of a well-established Ladies Lunch event.
* Proactively recruit individuals and teams for third party challenge events i.e. Kiltwalk.
* Proactively develop and nurture relationships with potential funders and fundraisers e.g. businesses, community groups, and individuals.
* Identify and follow up opportunities to secure non-cash or in-kind support, e.g. volunteering, pro bono support, donations of equipment.
* To be responsible for the stewardship of supporters.
* Co-ordinate the recruitment and appropriate use of volunteers to support local.
* To be innovative and creative in your role.
* Working with the Head of Communications & Marketing devise a communications plan to promote Community Fundraising initiatives.
* Identify potential PR opportunities.
* Work closely with Direct Services colleagues to involve them in building relationships with supporters and in fundraising activities as required.

To achieve their mission, they are looking for maternity cover for their Fundraising and Engagement Administrator role – a crucial role providing a solid foundation of support to the whole Fundraising team.
The Fundraising and Engagement Administrator will join Sight Scotland at an exciting stage, with a newly formed Cause and Engagement team, a new organisational strategy and direction, and a roadmap for fundraising planned. The charity is recruiting for 5 other fundraising roles alongside this maternity cover.
This role provides vital administrative support to the fundraising function. You will perform a variety of desk-based tasks ranging from regular banking, data entry, and the opening of fundraising post to more ad-hoc tasks such as handling supporter enquiries and working with the fundraising team to support their calendar of activities and key priorities.
For this role, it is vital that interested candidates have experience using a fundraising database and are competent and capable of handling financial data. Due to the importance of database management for this role, candidates who can't demonstrate experience using a CRM system to accurately input and review financial data will not be shortlisted.
This role will involve building relationships across teams to provide customer service, solve problems, and spot opportunities for fundraising, so would suit a candidate who enjoys delivering amazing supporter experiences/customer service and speaking to colleagues and supporters face to face, on the phone, and via email.
