1054GRE HR Advisor Hinkley Point C, Somerset Permanent, Full-time £42,000 Accommodation travel expenses Job Title: HR Advisor Description & Background: At Hinkley Point C nuclear site, located in West Somerset, were seeking an HR Advisor to join our HPC operation. We enhance the efficiency of assets, ensuring a high level of availability and reducing maintenance costs. With extensive experience in offshore and onshore facilities, we specialize in asset management services throughout all lifecycle phases from consulting, engineering, manufacturing, assembly, operations, maintenance, and decommissioning. This commitment is delivered by an experienced and highly competent workforce of over 4,500 employees operating from 14 offices in strategic industrial hubs, upholding the highest standards of safety, compliance and quality. As an HR Advisor, you will be responsible for assisting in the smooth running of HR processes and activities across the HPC site, ensuring compliance with BUK HR Policies, client practices and procedures, and UK regulatory requirements. Due to the scale and security requirements of this nuclear project, experience in high-security environments is highly valued. Principal Responsibilities: Manage the Recruitment and Onboarding Administration Process from role approval through to hire date, including Security Clearance, Induction, and pre-arrival training Manage the referencing process for all new starters, verifying all information to ensure accuracy and alignment with BUK HR Policy and UK regulatory requirements Manage the Vetting and Identification process for all new starters in line with nuclear site security requirements Provide support to the Visa application processes to enable key employees from other Bilfinger entities to mobilize to HPC site Monitor and chase information related to HR processes to minimize delays in site resourcing and mobilization Respond to all HR queries with accurate and appropriate information or guidance, escalating when necessary Process all leavers in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring all company property is returned and site security access revoked Review and input all appropriate data into HR and finance systems to ensure accurate and real-time information Deliver responsive administrative support to the HR Director and Operational Leads Produce HR Management information to meet standard and ad-hoc reporting requirements Identify and suggest opportunities to improve HR processes and procedures Ensure all documentation is compliant with the high standards required for nuclear site operations Required Qualifications & Experience: Degree or qualification in HR or related subject Working towards CIPD qualification Experience in HR administration and processes Understanding of UK employment law and regulatory requirements Experience with HRIS and database management Knowledge of recruitment and onboarding processes Essential Skills: Excellent organizational and communication skills Ability to deliver results when working under pressure High attention to detail and accuracy Confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive information Collaborative approach to working with multiple teams Results-focused mindset with personal accountability Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously Desirable Experience: Experience in high-security environments Experience within the Nuclear environment Previous work in construction or engineering sectors Knowledge of security vetting processes Salary, Location & Details: Location: Bridgwater with regular presence at Hinkley Point C, Somerset Permanent, Full-time position £42,000 Accommodation travel expenses May require occasional weekend working as project demands This role offers an excellent opportunity to join a significant nuclear construction project, where youll play a key role in ensuring the effective management of HR processes while supporting the delivery of this strategically important UK infrastructure project.
