Humberside Engineering Training Association (HETA) is a rapidly expanding Group Training Association (GTA) with training centres in Hull, Stallingborough, and Scunthorpe. HETA provides training to Level 3 engineering apprentices as well as upskilling courses for over 300 of our client companies. HETA is proud to work with some of the biggest names in engineering and manufacturing, supporting the growth of engineering training locally, regionally, and nationally.
HETA is looking for industry specialists who are ready to take the next steps in their career to become an Electrical Instructor, where you will instruct/teach the next generation of engineers. While no two days are the same, you will spend time with groups of learners to develop their knowledge, skills, and behaviours to become industry experts.
Responsibilities:
1. Promoting and supporting apprenticeships
2. Training young people across engineering study and apprentice programmes
3. Delivering regulated qualifications (full training and support will be provided)
Experience Required:
1. Electrical/multi-skilled maintenance engineering
2. Health & Safety practices and procedures
3. Desirable but not essential - certification in 2391 and 18th Edition
Minimum Qualifications:
1. A minimum of Level 3 Engineering qualification
2. Good interpersonal and computer skills
3. The desire to teach, enrich, and empower learners using personal and industrial experiences
While assessor and teaching qualifications are desirable, they are not essential. Applicants without the qualifications will be required to complete a period of teacher training at college. Full support from the HETA Teaching & Learning team is available.
The position would be based at our Hull centre; however, a driving licence with access to own transport is required as travelling between centres may be necessary.
