Your Role An opportunity has arisen for an Environmental, Health and Safety Co-Ordinator based in Knottingley, West Yorkshire. In the first instance this role will be reporting to the Knottingley Site Manager and additional reporting to the ESH Centre of Excellence (CoE). You will be a key member of the Knottingley Operations team, and will facilitate the deployment of ADM’s safety, health and environmental strategy across the locations. You will ensure compliance with regulatory and ADM standards and help drive continuous improvement of safety, health & environmental performance and results. Your Responsibilities Safety, Health and Environment Management: You will work closely with the EHS CoE to co-ordinate the deployment of ADM’s safety, health and environmental strategy across the locations with the aim of zero injuries or incidents. You will work closely with location management to deploy, maintain and continuously improve training programs that drive a behavioural based safety culture and support ADM’s strategy. Compliance: You will work closely with the locations, providing a hands-on approach to ensure programs are implemented, maintained and reviewed to ensure compliance with regulatory and ADM standards. You will ensure we are effectively managing risk at our locations with particular focus on DSEAR compliance and permit to work systems. You will assist Operations by coordinating the update & training of Risk Assessments and Safe Systems of Work. You will conduct compliance reviews and audits to ensure corporate and regulatory standards are being consistently met. You will implement the site Contractor Manager Programme and Corporate New Colleague Integration. Management Systems and Incident Investigations and Reporting: You will support and maintain ADM’s SHE management systems ensuring timely data entry and pro-actively interrogate information sources to identify trends, provide root cause analysis and guidance to drive continuous improvement. You will ensure ADM Corporate training packages are delivered in a timely manner and in accordance with the training calendar. You will provide assistance and guidance on the investigation and reporting requirements of any injuries or incidents, including ensuring any follow-up actions are implemented. Communications: You will liaise closely with the UK & IEHS Manager and location management to ensure alignment with corporate objectives and strategy and regulatory requirements. You will provide safety, health & environmental advice to the location management and teams. You will maintain effective communications with external bodies e.g. HSE, the emergency services & UK Flour millers. Your Profile • The candidate must hold a recognised Health & Safety Qualification or working towards one • Educated to degree level or the proven ability to operate at that standard • Demonstrable experience in a similar role in a Production/Manufacturing Environment • Experience or an understanding of Mechanical & Electrical Engineering processes & procedures • Knowledge of combustible dust hazards and Hazard Area Classification (training will be provided) • Understanding of Method Statements, Risk Assessments and Permit to Work Systems • A recognised Environmental qualification is preferred but not essential as training will be provided • EHS Compliance and auditing experience • Competent in Microsoft applicants • Computer literate.
