Document Controller - Winchester

Salary: £40,000 + Benefits Package

Work Arrangement: 2 DAY WFH per week
Skilled Careers are currently headhunting for a strong Document Controller to join a leading residential business with a large presence in the UK. The company requires a Document Controller to work on a permanent basis, in an office-based role with little to no travel to site.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and manage all document management activities on existing projects.
2. Ensure compliance with company document control procedures and industry standards.
3. Support the project team in achieving project objectives.
4. Maintain high standards of Quality Assurance for all project documentation.
5. Ensure accuracy, integrity, and security of all project documentation.
6. Register received information within EDMS where required.
7. Manage revision and status control of all project documentation.
8. Maintain and ensure integrity, accuracy, and quality of electronic documents and document registers.
9. Monitor and manage workflows for consultants/design team documentation.
10. Ensure full auditability and traceability of design coordination processes.
11. Generate reports within EDMS for projects as required.
12. Assist with coordination of information for operation and maintenance manuals and project handover.
13. Provide training and guidance for project teams on EDMS.
14. Collaborate with the quality team and assist in defects and inspections on-site.
15. Regularly report on the status of documents in the document register.
16. Conduct regular project audits to maintain quality and project health.
Qualifications:
1. Minimum of 5+ years experience as a Document Controller.
2. Construction industry background and experience working on a construction site environment.
3. Experience in monitoring various document control processes and assurance.
4. Extensive knowledge and experience with electronic document management systems, MS Office Suite, Adobe, PowerPoint.
5. Practical working knowledge of 4P/Viewpoint at a project administrator level is essential.
6. Must be customer/client/project-focused with excellent oral and written communication skills.
7. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
8. Highly organized and process-driven.
9. Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations, including ISO 9001 and ISO 19650.
10. Able to work independently and in a team environment.
11. Able to prioritize workload and work under pressure within specified deadlines.
12. Self-motivating and self-auditing with high-quality standards.
13. Experience with subcontractor and supplier approval processes.
