Site Reliability Engineer / SRE Engineer required with a background in production engineering/site reliability engineering / SRE, with a strong focus on cloud and ideally GCP, and containers with Kubernetes, Docker and Terraform, CI / CD and a strong interest in monitoring, observability, logging, backend automation and advising software engineering teams on the reliability and scaling of production services and reducing operational tasks is required by world leading software company with a focus on cloud secure video conferencing. This hybrid role is based in the Reading / Berkshire office, circa 3 days per week, and has parking and a connection from Reading station. Key skills for the Site Reliability Engineer role would include Understanding of Site reliability / SRE and a passion for data to help engineering teams make better choices Experience in the build, design and running of production of cloud infrastructure Strong understanding of cloud and containerisation technologies (Kubernetes (GKF or clusters is desirable), Docker, Terraform) Experience with GCP (ideally with GKF / clusters) or other cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure) Experience with building CI/CD systems and tooling (Github Actions, Gitlab CI, Argo CD) Observability tools (Prometheus, Loki, Grafana) to build metrics, logging and alerting Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Excellent communication and teamwork skills This role will suit someone with a passion for site reliability engineering.
