Interim Senior Planner
INSIDE IR35
£500 per day plus expenses - six month contract
This is an immediate need for a planning candidate who is familiar with the food industry or similar FMCG environments. The exposure to the pace involved makes a difference to manage the changing priorities involved on a daily basis whilst maintaining accuracy within the supply chain.
This interim role is part or the supply chain team for a major food manufacturer supplying the multiple retailers.
The Interim Senior Planner role ensures
Accuracy of stock management, planning and forecasting.
Updating the forecast from planning data.
Ensure the consistent supply of materials to meet production plans for operational effectiveness.
Managing stock levels and ensuring accurate inventory levels at all times for constant up-to-date visibility of data.
Liaising with the supply base to always keep ahead, acting immediately on any supply and demand issues.
Highlight and escalate any issues that could impact production.
Management of high value stock items.
Working closely with logistics and operational teams to ensure efficiency of the operation from both the inbound and outbound supply chain processes.
Background experience required for this role:
Previous planning experience in the food or FMCG sector.
Enjoy working with and able to interpret data.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel.
Highly numerate.
Strong communication skills - written and oral.
