As a responsible bank, we’re committed to managing our risks. In this key role, you will be part of the Risk Controls team, a second line risk function who provide oversight of business credit risk stewardship.
You'll support the production of accurate credit risk reporting and analysis in the Corporate and Commercial banking environment. You’ll work closely with teams across Front Office, Lending, and Compliance functions to mitigate potential credit risks, and thereby contribute to the financial stability and growth of the organisation.

The difference you’ll make:
* Developing and applying risk assessment models and monitoring credit exposures
* Overseeing risk control points and providing accurate reporting
* Reviewing data in key areas such as Reviews, Arrears, and Models (PD/LGD) against policies, procedures and thresholds and identifying key risks through root cause analysis
* Engaging and collaborating with stakeholders to identify material issues and recommending suitable action plans to mitigate potential risks, and seeing through to resolution
* Supporting continuous process and reporting enhancements using technology and focus on emerging risk areas
* Maintaining and contributing to the annual assessments and documentation of policies, procedures and processes, which must be reviewed and completed within agreed milestones
What you’ll bring:
These are the essential requirements you need to be successful in this role:
* Proven ability to undertake portfolio level reviews on controls by accurately reporting and analysing complex financial data using advanced Excel tools (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, conditional formatting and formulas)
* Experience of working within a risk and compliance, audit or assurance environment within a corporate and commercial or wholesale bank
* Well-developed interpersonal skills, with the ability to present and clearly articulate findings to stakeholders
It would also be nice for you to have:
* Previous experience of delivering financial analysis role of similar complexity and level
* Knowledge of PowerPoint, MS Access, Tableau, PowerBI and experience of working with complex data sets
* Working knowledge of Salesforce and the customer journey
* Understanding of credit risk frameworks and relevant regulations including Basel III, IFRS 9, CRR

This permanent role is based in Milton Keynes.

To support this, we offer site-based contracts with a hybrid working pattern and our expected level of attendance in an office is at least 12 days per month (pro-rata for part-time roles).
