The Role
An HR advisor plays a crucial role in providing guidance to both employers and clients regarding the recruitment of new personnel and the retention of existing employees. This position typically entails assisting hiring managers with interview techniques and the formulation of job descriptions. Moreover, the advisor is responsible for researching performance evaluation methods and designing relevant company policies. Additionally, the HR advisor contributes to the management of daily operational HR activities and projects on both a national and global scale
Duties
* Provide assistance with all internal and external inquiries or requests related to Human Resources.
* Maintain and update digital records of employee information.
* Support various Human Resources projects as needed.
* Monitor, respond to, and manage speculative job applications.
* Execute recruitment tasks, including booking interview rooms, advising managers, communicating with applicants, and assisting in interviews.
* Provide management with guidance on effective recruitment and selection strategies.
* Conduct Human Resources inductions for new hires.
* Perform "Right to Work" checks in accordance with legal requirements.
* Assist in coordinating performance management reviews.
* Monitor, document, and follow up on employee sickness and absence.
* Review and document exit interview outcomes.
* Maintain comprehensive records of competency assessments, ensuring efficient scheduling and verification.
* Compile and submit the Monthly Holiday Report.
* Schedule and coordinate training and development programs for employees.
* Generate supplier contracts with a thorough understanding of IR35 regulations, including using the SDS determination test tool.
* Address a range of Human Resources inquiries throughout the organisation.
* Review and refine job descriptions to ensure clarity and accuracy.
* Conduct training for hiring managers on candidate evaluation techniques.
* Assist in developing recruitment campaigns to attract suitable applicants.
* Coordinate the appointment process for successful candidates to ensure a smooth transition.
* Negotiate terms and conditions of employment with staff members.
* Identify and assess developmental needs within the organisation.
* Support the Human Resources manager in conducting capability investigations, including grievance and disciplinary procedures.
* Monitor, review, and update all Human Resources handbook and policies to ensure compliance with current legislation.
Qualifications
* A full UK drivers' license
* Minimum Qualifications:
* CIPD 3 or 5 qualification.
Salary
30k - 35k
Period
12 months period - Fixed Term Contract
