Job Overview

The Project Support Officer will provide comprehensive, high quality business development and relationship management support for the Commercial and Industry Team and support the drive of the corporate strategy.
The ideal candidate will have project management experience and strong skills in developing and overseeing work plans for collaboration, with insight into working across organisational boundaries and different sectors to deliver innovation and patient benefit through the power of partnership.
The role would suit an individual with demonstrable experience of working at the NHS / clinical academic and industry interface to identify, develop and support the delivery of new opportunities.
Main duties of the job
1. Support teams to ensure that the portfolio of tasks/projects is planned, managed and delivered effectively.
2. Support the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the tasks/projects by providing high quality support including analysis of complex information, communications, project management and stakeholder management.
3. Ensure accurate and open communication and co-ordination with a range of organisations and individuals, researching and drafting correspondence and papers, ensuring the management of specific tasks, lead on reporting and analysis across a range of specialties, functions and projects.
4. Maintain and foster effective communication within the team, actively encouraging collaborative working, sharing of best practice and developing the skills of the whole team.
5. Act as a central point within the team to ensure work planning and activity is fully supported and co-ordinated.
6. Co-ordinate and deliver inductions to new starters within the team.
7. Use project management software systems (i.e – MSP) to monitor and track project development and delivery.
8. Proactively seek opportunities for the integration and flow of the team activities within the wider organisation and that intelligence and learning is shared across the team.
