Guidewire PolicyCenter and BillingCenter Technical Engineering Lead
Region: Midlands
Contract type: Permanent
Reference number: ITDI01418
Working pattern: Full-time
About the role
As a Technical Engineering Lead within the NFU Mutual Guidewire Centre of Excellence, you’ll bring a deep expertise in Guidewire PolicyCenter and BillingCenter to our expanding engineering function. Instrumental in delivering scalable, high-quality back-end solutions you’ll shape the direction of best practices within a dynamic Agile environment. This is a great opportunity to influence core systems, support major programmes, and mentor talent within a forward-thinking organisation.
As the Technical Engineering Lead, you’ll take ownership of the technical delivery across our PolicyCenter and BillingCenter platforms, providing architectural direction and hands-on support to ensure robust and scalable implementations. Working across multiple Scrum teams, you’ll offer governance and guidance on engineering quality, ensuring consistency and alignment to business goals. Supporting both technical and non-technical stakeholders, you'll help navigate complex system changes, process improvements, and long-term platform strategies.
Playing a key role in promoting Guidewire conformity and reducing unnecessary customisation. As a go-to expert for high-impact technical challenges, including major programmes, you’ll ensure solutions are future-ready and support broader delivery objectives. In addition, you'll mentor junior and mid-level engineers, fostering a culture of learning and growth by supporting development standards and offering advice on technical progression.
This role offers hybrid working and office-based working from our Tiddington Head Office, just outside Stratford-Upon-Avon. To help you give your best in the office and at home, we’re open to discussing what this might look like for you.
