We are looking for a Power BI Analyst to play a critical role within the Performance team, with the primary functions of the role being: To develop network BI specifically for operational teams to promote and support a self-serve environment. To deliver enhanced Network Visibility & Management Tools using a variety of sources, feeding into Power BI front-end dashboards, that support practical root cause investigation and visualisation of data. To deliver regular insight & hands-on investigations via daily, weekly, and monthly business reporting/comms to operations and key exec stakeholders – in order to drive improvement of the operation & understand root cause. If you like what you hear, then we'd love you to apply You will be accountable for: Supporting the data analysis and reporting needs of various departments Supporting the network through a combination of BI development, gap identification and improved network visibility to focus our efforts on network compliance & service delivery across the board. Managing your own umbrella of BI projects and work with operational partners/sponsors to build project documentation and map requirements for BI tools that you will build. Developing, maintaining, and optimising Power BI dashboards and reports to meet business needs Collaborating with internal teams to gather data requirements and translate them into visual insights Regular review of data, analytics, reporting and data accuracy - troubleshooting any reporting issues. Building new applications that will support the shop floor and link into Power BI. Suggesting new functionality and methods to improve the overall customer and staff journey. Reviewing our systems & data sources, modelling data where required to pull different sources into clear datasets & visuals. Supporting the automation of legacy, spreadsheet based reporting and migrate this to Power BI, moving the network teams towards a self-serve agenda and an automated cascade of ops reporting - driving the use of Power BI network-wide. Developing and enhancing trend analysis of performance data, ascertaining key messages & documenting improvement opportunities to guide Performance Managers, Operations Senior Leadership, and Analytics teams to address challenges, variances, or risk. Ensuring that day to day performance across the network is improved through daily, weekly & monthly reporting. Running all operational reporting and investigations, establishing clear daily, weekly & monthly routines – improving what is already there to be more effective, and driving regular insight & investigations via daily, weekly, and monthly business reporting/comms to operations and key stakeholders. Communicating effectively across the board with daily, weekly and monthly updates on all critical service areas to flag risks live, and to ensure everyone is aware of daily performance, targets and risks. Ensuring weekly, monthly, and annual plans to improve service are guided by accurate data and best-in-class network visibility tools. To be successful in this role you will require the following… Bachelor's degree in computer science, Data Analytics, or a related field (or equivalent experience) An understanding of changing trends and technologies, therefore evidence of continuous learning would be preferred Experience working with various departments – supporting a broad skill base not limited to one area - including transport/fleet, inbound and outbound. Best-in-class logistics and/or ERP experience – Ideally within a FTSE100/blue chip environment Experience of change management in an FMCG logistics environment. Experience of project management tools and methodologies would be an advantage. Extensive experience with Power BI, creating dashboards and reports. Experience with Power BI certs & experience of continuous learning / evolving MS suite knowledge. Experience working with APIs & pulling data from multiple sources together. Intermediate experience with Power Apps, DAX and M Query. Familiarity with SQL or PHP and data modelling. Storytelling capability – using complex data & converting to simple stories / themes. Strong understanding of data visualisation principles. Experience of automating legacy reporting, auto-comms setup & building visuals for complex operations. Communication Skills: Confident in presenting findings to stakeholders at all levels both written and verbally including communication of complex ideas. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills that allow you to quickly translate data into actionable decisions and plans. Critical Thinking: Be able to identify network gaps, thoroughly understand the numbers, trends, and data and come to new conclusions based on the findings Attention to Detail: An ability to effectively manage high volumes of information and conflicting priorities, whilst still maintaining meticulous attention to detail IT Skills: The ability to maintain multiple IT based tools, including operations systems, project management tools and use of excel.
