Post: Team Manager - Electrical
Hours: 37 hours per week
Salary: Grade 12
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified Electrical Team Manager to join the Council's Asset & Management team. We are looking for an experienced manager to take responsibility for Electrical – Building safety.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of a team of Electrical managers and will assist the Compliance Manager in their daily duties, effectively managing resources and assets and setting standards for quality of work for electrical trade colleagues and contractors’ performance, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
The role will effectively manage the building safety of our portfolio of properties, including fire and other statutory compliance risks, as well as business continuity and customer engagement.
The successful applicant will need to demonstrate the following:
1. A level 5 or equivalent qualification in the Built Environment, or another relevant Management discipline
2. VRQ level 4 Electrical Safety in Social Housing or working towards
3. City & Guilds electrical qualification 236, or Level 3 NVQ in Electrotechnical Services (Electrical Installation - Buildings & Structures) or the Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Installing Electrotechnical Systems and Equipment (Buildings, Structures and the Environment)
4. City & Guilds 2391 Inspection and Testing or equivalent
5. Significant experience of managing a large diverse and complex workforce, including professional, technical, administrative, and craft staff, with experience of managing all aspects of employee performance and conduct
6. Experience and specific knowledge to comply with the Regulator for Social Housing’s governance requirements
