Are you an empathetic Mental Health Practitioner looking for an exciting new role?
We are now recruiting for a Band 7 Mental Health Practitioner to join a well-established NHS trust based in York on a locum contract. The post on offer will be an immediate start for 2 months with the possibility of an extension.
The successful Practitioner will manage a defined caseload using specialist knowledge and advanced clinical reasoning to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care programs. The post holder will provide a range of clinical interventions to students, including those with high levels of clinical risk and crisis. Your role will include a mix of duties for crisis and short notice appointments, being on a rota of staff for a drop-in wellbeing service and carrying a caseload of students for which you are responsible for coordinating. You will be responsible for carrying out mental health assessments and offering a range of brief therapeutic interventions for students, both preventative and responsive.
Skills and experience needed:
1. Managing a caseload
2. Offer clinical treatment work and consultation
3. Experience with a wide range of mental health presentations
4. Can work well independently and as part of the team
