Due to the growth and opportunities that exist in Wales and the South-West, we are currently looking to recruit a Managing / Senior M&E Quantity Surveyor with significant experience in Mechanical and Electrical systems to support and help grow our M&E cost management team in the region. Importantly, this role provides you with the opportunity, now or in the future, to grow and lead our MEP offering in Wales, working with your peers across the business to provide best in class service. As a Managing / Senior M&E Quantity Surveyor, you'll be responsible for delivering work that's driven by excellence as well as doing the right thing. Should you so wish, you will be given the opportunity to lead our M&E service offering, supported by our Head of Cost Management and our National Head of M&E services. You'll share our reputation for working on some of the UK's most high-profile commissions. You will work across a wide range of projects and sectors, including infrastructure, education, corporate real estate, retail, residential, aviation and healthcare. As well as building long-term, sustainable relationships with our most important clients, you'll also be a catalyst for your colleagues' career progression. Technical leadership: from providing stakeholders with specialised M&E advice to broadening your legal and technical knowledge and participating in training initiatives. In depth knowledge and experience of Mechanical and Electrical systems, their associated costs and/or where such costs can be determined. Demonstrable track record in the successful delivery of MEP cost management services. Ability to advise clients on key MEP cost drivers, project costs and value engineering. Feasibility and cost planning, procurement advice, tender documentation, and post contract services. Effective and efficient knowledge of a range of project procurement options. Ability to work with the minimum of supervision. Experienced in client, consultant & contractor facing roles and working as a member of a busy team. Excellent Communication skills.
