Main duties of the job The Enhancing Families team aims to improve the antenatal health, child health and development and parents' resilience in families with additional vulnerabilities. Each family is allocated a specialist nurse who takes on the role of a health visitor and works alongside parents to support a healthy pregnancy and child development, as well as supporting parents to achieve their own aspirations. The aim is to deliver the inclusive and flexible Enhancing Families parenting pathway, and nurses will develop therapeutic relationships with clients and work with vulnerable families initially engaging them in the antenatal period to achieve identified outcomes The Enhancing Families Nurse will carry a universal partnership plus caseload, ensuring health needs are assessed, identified and supported. They will work as part of the wider system to contribute to multi-agency working to ensure a Cheshire East wide collaborative approach to care.
